I know it's early, but if it's something that takes time, I want to get started on it as soon as possible because she means so much to me. We've been dating for a little over 8 months and we're both 18. I'm in a long distance relationship so I've given many creative gifts (love letters, random letters, pots I made in my ceramics class, a list of 100 songs that made me think of her, 30 things I want to do with her, a necklace, a sand thing I bought on vacation, etc) I just want some truly good gifts that you either think are romantic (want to be given to you) or you know from experience that they are amazing gifts. Please list at least 5 things and be detailed if possible.

How thoughtful of you!
How about gifts based on the 12 days of Christmas?
Choose 12 things that mean something to you both and your relationship. These could be a country or a place that you went to for a vacation. Choose small gifts that are relative to these. i.e. a bracelet from somewhere you plan to go in the future or a hamper of foods from the first restaurant you took her to. Give her one of the 12 gifts on each day of Christmas.
Make tokens for 'action' gifts. You could have a token for a foot massage, a token for you cooking her dinner etc.
Collate some pictures of the two of you together and make an album of your past. Then, create an album for your future - put in pictures of places you want to take her and things you want to do with her. These can be of countries, towns, restaurants, games you want to play. You can even put in pictures of the house you want to live in with her and the car you want to drive her around in.
If you can't be with her, arrange a day at a beauty spa for her and a her friend. You can add personal touches to her day - like choosing her treatments and writing a card to explain why you chose them. i.e. I chose the pedicure because I love you from your head to the tips of your beautiful toes (slushy, I know)
Sorry, I can't think of a 5th idea, but I think you have plenty to go on there. My own boyfriend has done a few of these for me and I felt very lucky to get them.

Does this gift imply something romantic?
We had a secret santa at my job, and I got a co-worker whom I have a crush on. The limit was $25 but I spent more, I got him a Calvin Klein sweater and he seemed to really like it, but then another co-worker who always flirts with me immediately stopped. Does this gift imply something romantic?
Answer
It may be that you flirt with him without realizing it, and giving him the nice sweater made a difference. It shouldn't be something romantic, unless you intended it to be so.
