Birthday party for 9 year old.?

I am having a scavenger hunt for my son's 9th birthday party. I am hiding 8 different things throughout the park and I am giving them clues as to where to find them. Do you think they will like this or think it's dorky. How much time should I give them to find the objects. The prize is going to be a treat bag and a $1 gift certificate to McDonald's. Give me you thoughts on this. Thanks

Answer
Yes I think its a great game. My thoughts: Hide 9 different things ( he's 9 years old) 9 mintues to find the things and $9 dollars for the gift certificate and hopefully there will only be 9 children at the scavenger hunt. Have fun and take pictures!!

Is a Wii an appropriate birthday gift for a 9 year old for his birthday?

In cognito

I was also considering a Nintendo DS or a Playstation Portable.

Answer
We bought our soon to be 6 year old a Wii. He plays with it but its not oriented to someone so young. The games require a lot different things at once and its hard for one so young. But for a 9 year old they have way more coordination and reading skills. Also they are just more patient sometimes. My 6 year old niece has a DS and she loves it. I personally think the Wii is loads of fun and gets them moving. My son loves the boxing game and it gets him off the coach and bopping around the living room.

Are these good gifts for an 18 year old?

Dookie

I'm going to a 18th birthday party of a friend. I don't know what to get him, but so far I have a shower radio, remote controlled car, and electric ball shooter. Are these too childish? If so...can you give me some good ideas? He's a nice kid who is very smart if that helps.
The ball shooter is something you build.

Answer
These gifts are children. you should give him gift that suits his nature. If he likes any type of gaming you should give him latest versions of game of any PlayStation. If he likes reading then you should give him some books to his interest. And if he likes to watch movies or cartoon then you should give him movies he likes the most i.e. adventurous, action etc.

Think well about his nature then select the gift which suits him better.

Gift Ideas for 18th birthday?

Leah H

Hi. I'll be turning 18 on Saturday, the 11th.
My mom has been asking me to tell her or make a list of what I would like for my birthday. And honestly, as crazy as it sounds, i can't really think of much. I know she wants to get me something special since i'll be 18 though.. anyone have any ideas? I'm a girl if your idea is something gender-specific.

Maybe some suggestions you can think of, or things you got for your birthday, or things you gave your kids.
It can be in any price range, seriously. She'll decide how much she wants to spend, I just have to give my mom ideas pretty quickly. =/

Thanks. :)

Answer
I got a bike as a graduation gift when I was 18. I used it to ride around campus when I went to university, and to run errands back before I had a car to drive. It was a really good present.

Sending a gift to London from Singapore?

angjianhao

Dear all,

i need some help here, if i were to send a gift from Singapore to London, would the recipient be required to pay any taxes or VAT on receiving it?

is there a value limit to which the gift would not be taxed?

i have received some mixed comments on it so i would appreciate the clarification, particularly from people who have personal experience on this.

Thanks

Answer
I send stuff from the USA to my parents in England. The only things that potentially could have duty payable are things like cigars, cigarettes, liquor and expensive jewelry, perfumes, etc.

However, I have only once been "caught" when I send my Dad cigars and then he did have to pay a LOT of duty. I usually include them in a bigger box with other gifts and have no trouble.

Generally, gifts are not taxable so unless you are sending something really expensive, I wouldn't worry about it.

pretty gifts from london?

goldfishyn

hi I just moved to London and I want to send some gifts to my friends back home. I was thinking cath kidston, but I figured their designs are sort of too typical and boring, not worth the price. So if anyone knows any shops/brands/stores that has cute little gifts, not necessity London-like, (stationary, little bags, etc), please care to make some suggestions...(im 18 and so are my friends) thanks in advance!!!

Christmas gifts 2013?

meghan

Top 15 things a teen (13) year old would want for Christmas 2013! please I need help!!

Answer
Yikes.. That's not too much information!

1. New phone (iPhone, Samsung, etc.) http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=cell+phone&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Acell+phone

2. Stuff for their room? New bedspread, pillows.. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_kk_1?rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Abedroom&keywords=bedroom&ie=UTF8&qid=1384402909

3. Makeup? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=makeup

4. Hair stuff, nice shampoo/conditioner. http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=a9_asi_1?rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Ashampoo+conditioner&keywords=shampoo+conditioner&ie=UTF8&qid=1384402936 I SUGGEST PAUL MITCHELL TEA SHAMPOO OR BEDHEAD.

5. Headphones (Nice ones.) http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_p_72_0?rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aheadphones%2Cp_72%3A2661618011&keywords=headphones&ie=UTF8&qid=1384402979&rnid=2661617011

6. New clothes, some sites for this: forever21.com etsy.com polyvore.com (Look at create for some cute clothes. There's great stuff there!)

7. New animal..??

8. New Laptop.

That's all I got, hope I helped.

My personal wants

9. Bow and Arrow, you can think about it, if the thirteen year old likes the idea, they need to pick out the type of bow they would feel the most comfortable shooting, and some target practices.

10. Punching bags, totally sounds different but it takes out my stress. I need a new one, but some people should start out with http://www.amazon.com/Everlast-Style-Training-Gloves-Black/dp/B000JF6LUE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384403233&sr=8-1&keywords=boxing

Everlast is a great company for boxing, from my personal experience. I do suggest a hanging one, instead of one on the floor. Unless you can try putting water or sand into it, to hold it down better. But otherwise, hanging is the way to go, if you have short enough ceilings (I have to use upstairs for this, unfortunately.)

Hope I helped!

Do people usually give gifts for Easter?

MingChong1

I'm not sure of that's traditional or not. I know for birthdays & Christmas, they do. When I was growing up, the family gave Easter gifts.

Answer
For Easter? Sorry not really. The gifts that are given--or rather need to be found from their hiding spot--are the Easter baskets with candy from the Easter bunny and those are for the children.

Gifts for Easter?

Paula H

I try to not give too much candy for Easter since my boys typically do not eat the candy. We are going to Gatlinburg for vacation the day after Easter so I thought about getting something for the vacation. Any ideas?

Answer
I'm not big on giving lots of candy either. Get an easter basket for ea one and fill with things they can use for the trip, like coloring books, games, crayons etc. My 3 year old is getting a dinosaur themed basket.

What do you think of this gift for my husband's 30th birthday?

Sophia's M

He's an exercise freak so I'm thinking of getting him a new stationary bike for cardio since his is so old and dysfunctional already. His ipod broke months ago and he has been using mine every day, so maybe also an ipod Touch? He also needs clothes, socks, underwear, etc. I know that "30" is a pretty big birthday so I want to give him a nice present. What do you think?

Answer
I think it is a great gift! My husband wanted to get another ring for my birthday and all I wanted is a gym membership. I got one and winter will be here soon in Alaska so no more bicycling. Your gift is great!

30th Birthday Gift for coworker?

3Hemp

Okay, it's a coworker's 30th birthday coming soon and I'm not the closest with her, so I have no idea what to get her. She's a kind, sarcastic, funny person and I'm looking to get her a gift she'll like. She doesn't drink often, so the gift should probably not be alcohol related. Any ideas would be great (:

Answer
If you aren't the closest with her... why get her anything?

But... let's say you do. A birthday card (Non humorous or off color) and a gift card for Amazon (kindle reader) or Apple (iTunes) or the like should suffice. If you see that she uses such gadgets. $10/20 worth.

My boyfriend bought me a careless Xmas gift?

jonas

Well me and my bf decided to open our gifts for eachother early this year.we've been dateing a little over a year. Anyways I bought him 3things,I knew he'd love and were from the heart.it wasn't expensive, and I didn't expect him to buy me somthing expensive either, well he didn't...he got me a graduation bear for Christmas...the tags all crumpled and it's a lil dirty... Also I graduated 2 years ago....I just don't feel like he put thought into it.... I pretended to be happy and didn't say anything....what would you do? It even looks like he just found it laying around his house, but he says he bought it. Idk.what would you do?

Answer
LOL that's a really bad gift! Men ARE bad at buying gifts at times but if you let him get away with it, he'll never bother putting any thought into it.

Tell him you were a little hurt - not because the gift was inexpensive (use that word, not 'cheap'!) - but because you didn't think it was something he'd put much thought into, and you feel that that's what gift giving is all about - a physical representation of thoughtfulness and consideration for each other.

I dated a guy once who was an AWESOME gift giver. But one Valentine's Day he bought me a cheese grater and matching strainer!! WTF?? He liked kitchenware and they were good quality items, and I thanked him and coo-ed over them. But - after discussing it with my friends to make sure I wasn't overreacting - I told him that although they were useful, I didn't think they were suitable romantic Valentine's gifts. I told him that all I ever wanted on that day was flowers or chocolates, and from then on, that's what he stuck to and I was always grateful for them.

After that we used to laugh about it all the time, but it took real guts to tell him! Never got a bad gift from him again though...

If your boyfriend can't see that this is important to you, then he's not the one for you. It's got nothing to do with being greedy or materialistic. You thought about him; he didn't do the same for you. That's fundamental and needs to be corrected asap.

Overwhelmed with home-made xmas gifts?

Kitty

This year my family is making home-made gifts, i started kind of late.. i know how to crochet and im a beginner knitter.. i have about 5 projects for the kids which are almost done but i have 2 brothers and their wife's, my mom.. anyone have any advice before i go insane? :(

Answer
Yes--use big needles/hooks and uncomplicated designs. Knit or crochet while you watch TV for productive multi-tasking and keep a project with you so you can knit or crochet while you wait (I've crocheted an afghan while waiting in line to pick up kids after school and knit socks while waiting in doctors' offices and so on).

A gift you can crochet or knit for women that looks impressive is a moebius scarf. They're quick to knit if you use Cat 2 or Cat 3 yarn and large needles for a lacy effect or worsted yarn and 6.5mm needles. This page (http://www.twinwillowsfarm.com/moebius_scarf.html ) explains how to do one when you're knitting crossways--and you can use a different pattern as long as the ends line up. I'm doing one that is 3 x 3 rib over 48 stitches. This page has instructions for knitting one in the round: http://www.planetshoup.com/easy/knit/scarfmb.shtml . Cat Bordhi has a video on YouTube illustrating her method of moebius knitting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVnTda7F2V4 . Lion Brand has a couple of patterns for moebius neck scarves using bulky yarn and big needles. I've made this one: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/kls-tubeScarf.html . It's quick and easy, but the two ends are not identical. This one: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/1328AD.html will have identical ends.

For guys, a nice long scarf is quick to knit. I like 1 x 1 rib for this project for reversibility. Use a bulky yarn or 2 or 3 strands of worsted-weight held together, size U.S. 13 or 15 needles, and a cast-on of about 10 to 13 stitches, you can finish one 72" long in an evening or two. I have also knit guy scarves in garter stitch lengthways (cast on 300 stitches for about 65" to 75") on big needles with bulky or multiple-strand yarns. One nice thing about using multiple-strand techniques is that you can create your own "tweed" mixture--school colors, team colors, and so on.

If the weather is cool, foot-warmers are good for everyone. These boot-type slippers are easy: http://www.aokcorral.com/projects/how2oct2005.htm . PolarKnit has free patterns for a variety of slippers using chunky yarns: http://www.polarknit.com/itoolkit.asp?pg=SOCKS/SLIPPERS

Differance between shower gifts and wedding gifts?

Q. Now, i am the maid of honor and there are two differant showers being thrown for the bride..i know i would obviously want to bring a present for her to each shower..but what is this about a wedding gift as well? What is the differance?
To add a little..the shower present i bought is the kitchen tools and pot holders she asked for..then for the personal part for (i have two showers to go to for her) am hand making a recipe box for her and writing out recipes. Aren't those things enough especially since i am attending two showers? Would it be bad not to bring anything to the wedding?

Answer
A shower gift is a more modest one, while the wedding gift is usually more substantial.

You only need to bring a gift to ONE shower, and then a wedding gift.

Bridal shower gift vs. wedding gift?

Stephanie

What is the proper etiquette for buying gifts for bridal showers and weddings? Like, if i go to a bridal shower and buy the couple a gift should i buy the same couple a gift for their wedding. I'm just not sure if they are expecting two gifts for the same occasion, well it's basically the same occasion... Anyways, i'm just wondering what to do.

Answer
Unfortunately, the wedding gift giving just does not stop, one is now expected for every event. Engagement parties, bachelorette parties, now a present is expected for them, too. And you are right, it is all for the same occasion. If it were me, and and knowing people are splitting their budget between four or 5 gifts, I would yell stop! And tell those that are close to me to cool it, one or two, that is enough. Or get me something that costs next to no money, like a collection of tried and true recipes. And I would want artisan gifts, I got a towel for Xmas with a crochet border on it, you hang it up in the kitchen for pretty or handy purposes. I love it.

Traditionally, if the shower is for the bride, the present is for the bride. The gift used to be something to decorate or stock up her household, something that only she would use. Occasionally, it would be something just for the bride, like her favorite perfume, or a basket with soaps and bubble baths. Since the bride did not have a household of her own, gift giving was easy. The gifts might have been hand crafted, or artistic, or creative, but were never expensive. That would have been rude, you did not show up at the shower with a Cuisinart, when everybody else gave artisan gifts..

Now fast forward to 2010, there are couples showers, where a present is expected for both the bride and groom. Or the bride wants a lingerie shower. Or she already has a household, and only luxury items are on her/their registry list. And brides and grooms expect presents of the caliber of the wedding present. And brides do not want hand made artisan things.

So to answer your question, since the bride opens her shower presents at the shower, a present is expected, and will be noticed by everyone if one is not offered. And yes, a wedding present is expected too. Figure out your budget, and split it up between the presents.

Sneaky trick: some people spend the lion's share or all of the budget on the shower present, where people are there to ohh and ahh over it. And give the lesser gift, or no gift at all for the wedding, when maybe only the bride will see it.

Is it tacky to ask for a cash gift at my wedding?

Jody

We are broke...lol and we can afford to do the wedding and reception(barley) but we won't be able to afford a honeymoon. We have been together for years and also living together so there really aren't any gifts that we need. Our home is already set up. Would it be awful if we asked for money so we can afford a honeymoon?
D700 dug, this is just what we were thinking of doing, getting married outside at my future mother in laws yard (it's huge) and only inviting the closest friends and family. It will save money and keep it personal. I do see what your saying about a gift that will remind the couple of their wedding day though,,,thanks

Answer
Cash is a bit impersonal which is why most people prefer giving gifts, some couples suggest gift vouchers from major stores like John Lewis, but as your home is already set up, why not suggest gift vouchers like the ones suggested in my link.

Your friends and relatives who want to buy you presents will no doubt know your circumstances and I'm sure will be delighted to know that they contributed towards a wonderful honeymoon for yourselves.

As a thank you afterwards you can send them photographs with a thank-you for their contribution.

Inexpensive gift ideas...???????????????????

Q. What are some inexpensive gifts to buy for friends who are new college students and family friends? And stores to purchase them at please...?? =p Thanks so much sweeties <33

Answer
Put a gift basket together with items you know they will need but never really think of. Some things you can buy from the $1 store like towels, coffee cup, cleaning supplies, etc. and other things you can buy at somewhere like Wal-Mart. Maybe things like a couple cans of Red Bull or 5 hour energy for those late nights studying, a couple nice picture frames and they can add their own pictures, etc; I would say you could do a gift basket for as cheap as $10 and could go as high as $40. Top it off with a bow.

Another option is just to buy a gift card to a large store like Wal Mart, or maybe a gas card if they are going to be driving to college and back a lot. Maybe a calling card if they need it.

40th birthday gift ideas?

Chezza

its my mums 40th birthday very soon and i would like to buy her something special that isnt very expensive, any ideas?

Answer
Get her something that lasts, so she'll remember a lovely day. You could buy her lots of tiny little things, like a necklace, a diary, a fancy pen, a picture frame, some chocolates, a tiny teddy and a nice perfume. It's lovely to open a gift bag and have lots of presents inside. Maybe even make a few things to go inside? You could do a drawing or write her a poem. I wish her a happy 40th and you good luck in getting her some lovely presents :)

Can you suggest some great Christmas gifts for under $50 ?

Signilda

I have a huge Christmas list and lots of teenagers on it. Their tastes are so expensive but my budget is so so small. I want to impress them and not have my gift go to waste. thanks

Answer
1) Gift cards - Teenagers are so picky about what they like. Trust me, they would prefer to choose their own sweater than have you guess about their style. When I was a teenager, this would have been just about the best gift! Unlike adults, most teenagers will not care that gift cards are not "personal" like a traditional gift.
2) Gift baskets - Buy a cheap basket and create a themed gift. For instance, a gift card to BlockBuster, a DVD or two you know they will enjoy, several bags of popcorn, and mini-cans of their favorite soda would be a fun themed gift for a teen.
3) Lotions/candles from a chain store like Bath and Body works would be great gifts, particularly for a female. If you buy them from a chain, s/he can exchange them if s/he would prefer a different scent.

Wedding gifts $50 and under?

~xOx~ pRin

We only have today to buy the gift at the mall.
My friend and I are going to a wedding. It's the wedding of our Admissions Officer. We are still in college and pretty poor. So we are buying a gift together on a $50 budget. Any ideas?

Answer
Wow, did you get some good answers!

People understand that you are students on a budget. I'm sure they will appreciate whatever you give them. I would also assume that you would not be extremely close with this person (however I could be wrong).

Gift cards or plain old money is always a safe bet (unless your/ their culture has some sort of 'tradition' rule regarding not giving cash as a gift;I have heard of that believe it or not).

Cash is great because it is always appreciated and easily used for whatever the couple needs.

I also really like the serving platter or towels idea. If you get them in plain white, they should match any decor. And I know that I can always use another really nice platter or towel set for company!

Generally, avoid photo albums, wine glasses, etc. Couples often already have loads of these items, and guests often will give them multiples on top of that. We still have 2 sets of glasses still in boxes in our basement because we have nowhere else to put them in our kitchen! Unless you know they need them, avoid the 'mistakenly classic' wedding gifts!

Have fun!

Looking for a birthday gift for an incredible wife?

TriDad

I am brainstorming for my wife's birthday. We have been married 3 yrs, I am astounded by her, I adore her and want to express it. I am more apt to make a gift because it seems to mean more, last year she was given an oil painting of our first daughter, the year before a custom granite jewelry box, other than large diamonds or materialistic type gifts I seek your ideas, we shall also be in Costa Rica for her birthday, a special trip as a last hurrah before our second child is born in 2008. Thank you so much-

Answer
I really think you should take her skydiving/bungee jumping in Costa Rica it will be something you can experience together and memories or more precious then material gifts. That would be a really BIG a last hurrah before the baby

Here are some websites about skydiving in Costa Rica

When was USA gifted Statue Of Liberty ?

i am trying to get a liberty card but it says no gift found?

Moe

Answer
I assume this is the Liberty Pass from Pokemon Black & White?
It was distributed wirelessly as a gift but only during late 2010 to early 2011, so there's no point trying to get it as a mystery gift at this time.

Some gifts can be shared, one person with it can give it to another using the Wondercard option but sadly you can't do it with the Liberty Pass, sorry.

Can any parents recommend good baby gifts for Christmas under $50?

aym9982

A good friend of mine adopted a little girl earlier this year and I'd love to be able to get her a gift for Christmas. Funds are a little tight, so I don't want to spend too much, but I love her parents and I love her, so I'd like something special. Any ideas?

Answer
I like unusual gifts myself. For my shower, my friends got my the Twilight Sea Turtle. It's by Cloud b. Right now, I'm using it in my daughter's room, but it will go in the nursery once my son in born. It's really neat - I guess you could call it a nightlight, but it's more than just that. There's a lens all about it on Squidoo - http://www.squidoo.com/twilight-sea-turtle

Gift for boys under $50?

judson

Hi,
I need help. I have grandsons 12 and 14. One has a mp3 player. What is out there that all the kids like, something I can afford? I'd like to spend no more than $45. Is there a popular trend right now? Thanks.
I'm afraid Happy is right. They would rather have cash or gift cards. Was just hoping that there might be something a bit more wrapable. Thanks all. judson

Answer
Not really anything you can get for under 50 but something that I think is a good idea is a giftcard. I would get them a movie giftcard. Kids are always going to the movies. They dont tend to have jobs at that age so it would be nice if when they went to the movies they dont have to ask for money instead they can just use their card. The cards are good for the consestion bar too.

Pratical bday gifts for dad turning 60?

Jo

I'm completely stuck (as most ppl are) when it comes to my dad's birthday gift. He is super humble but has everything he could ever need and it's always the little stuff that impresses him most. I've gone all out before spending loads of money to get what I think he likes but it all just stays boxed up because he's too afraid to mess it up. He loves the little stuff like safety glasses when he mows or uses a weed eater. A payment box for ppl to stop by the house and drop off payments to him. A organizer that snaps to the back of his seat in his truck. The little flashlight that attaches to his cap for when he's working on his truck. I've run out of ideas. He doesn't drink and he has all the football gear you can think of. Last year I bought him pajamas and a bucket full of salty/sweet snacks and he lit up like a kid. That night as soon as we left my mom snapped a pic of him sitting in his lazy boy in his new pajamas eating a tin of sugared pecans that I had made for him. I have NO clue what to do this year. His bday is on the first. So to all the dads out there, what was your most memorable gift ever?

Answer
He will accept any gift. Choose a good gift which he likes more.

Birthday gift for a friend..?

dan!elle

My best friend is turning 16 on the 4th of July. Could anyone give me some sweet gift ideas. I am going to hit the mall in a week, so I could get something from there..but I'm really not too great at coming up with ideas..
Ooops sorry, yeah she's a girl

Answer
Well.. 1st off, is your friend a boy or a girl.. because both sexes have different prefences on gifts :p

Boy:

if he has a car- maby a Satellite Radio-their not as expensive as you think, usualy around 30$ and he would love it.

if no car then it all depends on his interests. when you posted this question you should of included what sex the person was, and what interestest they have, it would make things alot easier for people answering your question.

Same with if its a girl, sorry i couldnt help, if i knew more about them i would be able to suggest better.=/

Best wishes. hope this helped!

birthday gift for friend?

tim b

what would be a good gift to get my friend for his birthday? i was thinking a personalized wallet or money clip. he is religious i could get him a line of scripture with his name on it? whatever the idea id like it to be personalized because he has never gotten anything personalized and he would get a kick out of it. he doesnt drink so a flask it out of the question as is something like a lap dance because he has a gf. he is going to be 23 and weve been friends for many years. so what would be an ideal gift that can be personalized. thanks for answers.

Answer
surprisingly, a lap dance would not have made it to my list at all!

he is your friend, so you know, but a money clip is pretty cumbersome and I can't imagine a guy pulling out his wallet and having it say "Bob"

I love the idea of something personalized.

Would he wear a chain with something like a dog tag on it (I was going to say a charm but that sounds girly .. but you know what I mean!)

Or what about something that represents an activity you share or he likes? A classic baseball in a case and have a brass plaque affixed, or bookends with a plaque, or a piece of art.....? Basically something he will want to keep for a long time (I have done that and had the plaque made at keyman and they are self adhesive)

What x'mas gift can I get my boyfriend in the UK?

Dinu C

I'm a little low on cash, and wondering what to send him. He likes chocolates, bikes (doesn't have one yet :)), buys all his own groceries and stuff and is a student.

Any place i can get christmas food stamps? I think that'll be useful to him

Answer
I don't think supermarkets like Tesco and Asda do vouchers. You could always buy him a few of his essentials like chocolates, tea, coffee, nice crisps, biscuits then put it in a cheap Christmas bag so he won't have so much to buy when grocery shopping.

can i get gift vouchers for baby milk in the uk?

ge100g

Answer
I am not aware of any for milk but you can get vouchers for boots, tesco, ASDA etc which can be used to buy milk.

The old milk vouchers from the benefits could be exchanged for various milk from baby clinics but these have now been replaced by healthy vouchers that can be used for formula milk under 1 year of age and cows milk or fruit/veg over 1 year. If you go to your local baby clinic they may have vouchers you can buy to exchange for milk.

What is a very cute and creative gift?

Ayame Ayam

What is a very cute and creative gift to give to a boy you adore and like? I'm 13 years old, and I have a month to buy him a present. I really want to do someone cute, sweet, and very creative, but nothing comes to mind! Any ideas? It is for his birthday.

Answer
If you want something creative, you could make him something. Go to your local crafts store (like Michael's or JoAnn Fabrics) and look around for ideas. Some possibilities (depending on what's available at that store): paint a photo frame and put in a picture of you guys, a calendar where you can insert your own photos, or knit him a scarf.

Another good idea is to get him something based on what he likes, or something related to the place where you guys first met. Does he like a certain movie, but he doesn't own it? Buy the DVD for him. Does he like sports? Maybe he'd like a sports jersey, or a sports-themed rug. I was with a guy who loved sports, so I got him a baseball, but instead of having a famous player's autograph, I wrote a cute note on the ball and signed it. Then I attached it to something it could stand on. I gave it about 6 years ago, but the boy told me he STILL keeps it on the shelf in his room.

If you're not sure what he likes, and you can't make something, just get something that could help him relax. Ideas: a massage tool/ball, a small blanket he can put over while watch TV, some men's lotion/shower gel, or a throw pillow. If you get him something along the lines of those, he'll think of you when he's relaxing and in a good mood. =]

I hope this helps.

collage of pictures gift for love ones.?

Did you guys create a collage of pictures as a gift to your loved ones? What was the reaction? Is there any blog that writes about collage of pictures? I am seeing blogs but all are collage software.

Answer
I usually give gifts to the people I love. and I want to make sure that they are happy about it. This valentine day, I made a collage of pictures of all the funny, and happy moments of my loved one and me together and created a heart shape for that. It took me a while to do it but the effort was well worth it as the dearest person to me loved it very much. I was also able to find out a resource for you.
