Graduation gift ideas help!?

BO#44

My nephew graduates this Friday, he is 18 and will be going to college in the Fall. Anyone have any good ideas on graduation gifts for this age group?
price range = $50-$100 USD
Yes, he has a gaming system, XBOX 360, PS3 and a Nintendo Wii.

Answer
Visa gift card or Best Buy gift card. I have found that these two things are always appreciated by guys. I would go with the Visa gift card for this since he is going off to college...it will come in handy for everything and anything, and will give him the option to purchase online as well if he doesn't have a credit card.

I know a lot of people say gift cards are impersonal, but at 18, getting free money is pretty much the best gift ever!

Ideas for a graduation gift?

Jenna K

Im graduating from high school in 2 months and my parents told me to pick something... anything... i dont want it to be too pricey and i dont want to take advantage of them... what is a reasonable, ideal graduation gift? I will give 10 points best answer!!!

Answer
Found this, Should be helpful:

Gifts according to your sign:
Aries (March 21 - April 19)
Active Aries is always looking for ways to stay in shape, particularly during the holiday season... so athletic equipment is usually a good choice. People born under this sign are also fond of the color red, so a cranberry scarf or a scarlet hat could win their favor. If romance is in the air, let Aries know that you put his or her needs first. Buy tickets for two to a sporting event you loathe... or a CD by an artist you can't stand... to win big points with your favorite Ram.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus appreciates any gift that appeals to his or her sensual side. A box of gourmet chocolates, a richly colored tapestry or a soft cashmere blanket are all great options for Bulls. This sign also enjoys having money to play with, so a gift certificate to their favorite store is a welcome option. Always remember that quality is more important than quantity – Taurus would rather have a small bottle of expensive cologne than a carafe of the cheap stuff.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
Quick-witted Geminis enjoys gifts that appeal to their sizable intellects. A challenging book is always welcome, as is a magazine subscription. This sign rules the hands, so some scented hand lotion or a sparkling ring might delight. Geminis also love to entertain, so a set of glassware might fit the bill. If you want to splurge on a special Twin, give them the latest cell phone or PDA, so they can keep in touch with their gazillion friends.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
Sentimental Cancer loves gifts that have personal meaning. Handmade items always delight, whether it's a finger painting, angora sweater or mincemeat pie. This sign also has a special affinity for silver – a monogrammed hand mirror or picture frame would be very well received. Since Crabs have an affinity for liquids of all kinds, a special bottle of wine, a fancy cappuccino maker or a shiny tea kettle are also good possibilities. And don't forget that these Moon children love the domestic arts – a cookbook specializing in comfort food is another sure winner.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Lions love gifts that make them look and feel terrific. Hair accessories, cosmetics and grooming items are all good choices for this image-conscious sign. Leos love drama, and enjoy presents that involve a bit of flair. Opera tickets, gold jewelry or animal print lingerie are right up this cat's alley. Leos also love to gamble, so a sheaf of lottery tickets or a weekend getaway to the casino could make them purr with delight. When shopping for clothing, remember that Lions have a special affinity for red, gold and purple.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Virgins love practical gifts...so avoid dust-catching baubles. A bread-making machine or a power drill would be equally welcome. These folks are also known to pride themselves on their impeccable appearance. Scented soaps, lotions and shampoos made by an earth-friendly company might be just the ticket. Virgos are also incredibly organized and might appreciate a good watch or a leather-bound date book. Or try a health-conscious basket of organic foodstuffs.

Libra (September 23 - October 22)
Librans have a special affinity for music, and always appreciate a good CD to add to their voluminous collection. If you want to do something really special for a Libran friend, splurge on a two concert tickets – this sign hates to do anything alone. Born beneath the sign of the scales, they also need plenty of balance in their lives, so a pair of candlesticks or bookends might appeal. If you're still stumped for ideas, have a lavish bouquet of red roses delivered accompanied by a loving handwritten note.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpions are secretive by nature and enjoy gifts that obscure their appearance in some way. A pair of designer sunglasses, a filmy scarf or a slouchy hat are all great choices for this sign. These mystery-lovers also enjoy moody, atmospheric stories. A collection of film noirs on DVD are sure to go over well with your favorite Scorpion. The rumors concerning this sign's sexual appetite are happily true, so seductive lingerie would get plenty of use. Since Scorpions also like to get beneath the surface; a gift certificate for a deep-cleansing facial will be appreciated.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
As far as Archers are concerned, half the fun of getting gifts is ripping them open! If Sag doesn't like a present, though, he or she will tell you outright. Avoid awkward scenes this holiday season by giving this outdoor enthusiast some camping equipment. Hiking boots or a water-proof parka would also be appropriate. These animal lovers adore any gift associated with their pets. A calendar filled with pictures of dogs or horses is sure to elicit a big smile. Finally, you can always feed this sign's wanderlust with a comprehensive atlas.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)
Career-oriented Capricorn always enjoys gifts that will boost their job status. A leather laptop carrier or monogrammed briefcase would be welcome. Contrary to popular belief, though, Goats aren't all work and no play. This sign is blessed with a wicked sense of humor, so try the BBC's "The Office" series on DVD. Capricorns also love luxurious presents they'd never buy for themselves, like a silk bathrobe.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
You never know what this unpredictable sign will be doing from moment to moment – one week it's skydiving and the next it's yoga! Still, this quirky sign always appreciates technological gadgets, whether it's an all-region DVD player or an iPod Nano. If you'd like to choose something a little more personal, why not make a photo album detailing all of your exploits with the Water-Bearer? Aquarius may not show it, but they harbor a special fondness for their friends. Still stumped for ideas? A basket filled with brand new socks is both weird and practical enough for this sign, which rules the ankles.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
These mystics love gifts of all kinds, but especially ones that help them escape the harsh realities of life. A bottle of champagne, a kaleidoscope or a book of fairy tales will appeal to your Fishy friends. And because Pisces is a Water sign, it's a good bet they'll appreciate bath salts, foaming cleansers and shower gels. If you'd like to give something really special, a digital camera will make a bit hit with this natural-born photographer. Looking for a romantic gift? Choose a gilt-edged volume of love poetry.

Cheers!

Need ideas for a 30th birthday gift.?

Scarlett

She's my husbands best friends wife.
Stuck up is too harsh of a word. She can be fun, but I will say she's very "PROPER".
She prefers the finer things in life. We are a family on a tight budget.
I don't know what kind of party this is going to be yet.
HELP!

Answer
OK, I would NEVER buy a gift to try and 'keep up with the Jones'. I like my gifts to either say something about me, OR that will be totally different to anything else the person will receive. Money does NOT talk (IMHO). If it was ME, I would appeal to the 'fun' side of this woman. Give her 30 X 30 'useless items' (Because people dread turning 30)......
30 X Spent Matches,
30 X Grains of sand
30 X Used lottery tickets
30 X Take away menus
......you get the idea. It wont cost much...but, by the time you FIND 30 examples of 30 useless things, and wrap them up in lovely wrapping...no one will be in any doubt as to how much THOUGHT and TIME has been put into it - and it will be NOTING like ANYTHING she will have been given before!
The last thing people with money appreciate is an expensive gft -if they WANTED 'that' they will have already bought it themselves! Appeal to the PERSON, rather than the bank balance!
Always works for me, anyway!

What's a good 30th birthday gift idea for her?

baby cakes

My female best friend is turning 30 and I want to give her nice gift. Need ideas.

Answer
A great gift for your friend I would tell you to check out this website that I order my bath products from. You can pick the color, the scents, and the bath products you want. They even have the birthday cake scent. This would be great if you knew her favorite color.
hope this help

Disappointing valentine gift (boys)?

Last minute holiday gift suggestions: your office mate and/or boss?

Answers Me

It’s days before many begin exchanging gifts and we’re about to enter the last shopping weekend before Christmas. What gift can you suggest for your office mate or boss?

Answer
Without being too personal, I think that despite it's being the office, a gift that shows that you know something about them and put some thought into it is always the best way to go instead of "the old stand-bys".

For example, if they have a hobby that they talk about, a book or gift certificate related to it would be good. When our boss was out on sick leave, we bought him a model sailboat kit to put together while recovering since we knew it was a hobby of his. He loved it and was so touched that we went to the effort to find him something that he would really enjoy.

Even something small and silly like a can of more expensive tennis balls if they are a tennis player shows that you thought about something that was personal to them.

If they have children, a gift certificate to an indoor playground, if the kids are preschoolers or something that they can do as a family such as a movie theatre gift certificate, if the kids are older would no doubt be very welcome since it's something they can do to spend more time with their family.

If they never talk about their personal lives, then the stand-bys will have to do. :)

Wedding gift office etiquette?

VCL

I work in a doctor's office. One of the receptionists has a son who is getting married this weekend. I do not know the son or the woman he is getting married to. Today, one of the other receptionists came around taking up a collection for a gift for the couple getting married. She stated that everyone was giving $20 and it would be used to purchase a gift certificate to one of the stores where the couple is registered. I have never given a wedding gift or attended a wedding if I didn't know either of the couple getting married. My question is; Am I obligated to contribute to the joint office gift for a couple I do not know? (and I am not particularly close to the groom's mother who works in the office) Would you contribute under these circumstances and if not, what can I say to nicely decline when they come around again to try and collect?
Additional info to consider: some of the other girls do know the bride because she worked with them several years ago (before I came to the office)
Also: we employees usually remember each other with a monthly birthday dinner and other ocassions. I got a gift card from my co-workers when I got married last August. However, when my mother-in-law passed away in March, they didn't even acknowledge it with even a card or plant. For that reason, I am having difficulty about whether or not to contribute for a wedding gift when I don't even know either the Bride or Groom.

Answer
I can understand your hurt about them not acknowledging your Mother-in-Law's death. Office things are tricky sometimes, and often they don't work out too evenly or fairly. You can bet that when your Mother- in -Law died, there was some talk about what to do. For whatever reason, nothing was done- and that was the wrong choice. It could be that they felt awkward about such a sad situation, and weren't sure what to do.

At any rate, now there is a celebration happening for a coworker who has significant ties to the office- both she and her daughter have worked there. Despite you not having ties to the Bride, there are others who do, and undoubtedly it is one of them who started the contribution idea. They should have thought about it first, realizing that not everyone in the office worked with the Bride, or even knows her. But like it or not, if you don't contribute, you will look bad. Worse yet, somebody may remember that nothing was done when your Mother-in-Law died, and now you are taking it out on this unsuspecting Bride. It's not fair. I'm totally on your side.

But maybe there's hope- it sounds like the "envelope woman" has gone around the office once, and you somehow avoided the situation. You could just wait it out, and hope she doesn't come back. Maybe somebody clued her in that not everybody in the office should be expected to contribute. Or, if you have the courage, you could say "Gee, Amanda, I haven't been here long enough to have gotten to work with Jennifer. I feel awkward contributing for a gift to someone I have never met." She may just say that's fine, and that she didn't want to leave you out of the group.

It's a dicy situation. The easier thing to do would be to give some money. You could just give $10 instead of 20, to make it less painful.

I'm sympathetic to your plight. Working in an office with a bunch of women isn't for sissies.

Are there such things as credit card gift cards that DO NOT expire?

Q. My wife loves to buy gifts way ahead of time. Like she was done for Christmas 2012 before Christmas 2011 LOL

and she decided to get credit card gift cards instead for a few people for xmas 2012 and for 2013
and we were hoping that there is such a things as credit card gift cards that do not expire or lose money without use for a year or 2

Thanks
Pancake you do not know nothing about credit card gift cards!!!
It is a gift card but can be used anywhere because it is from a credit card company. most stores like walmart, wegmans and target carry them. so do not answer my question with ignorance

Answer
Pancake I agree with John. WTF!
You didn't even answer their question just a bunch of opininated crap! LOL

Yes there are credit card gift cards that do not have expiration dates and Pancake must never get no exp. coupons LOL because there are things with no expiration
and if you want credit card gift cards w/no exp. date contact your bank.

how's my xmas wishlist for 2011?

Westley Ha

okay so we're 3 months away tell xmas.
1.modern warfare 3(wii)
2.black ops(wii)
3.pittsburgh steelers jersey
4.a new mp3/ipod
5.wii classic controller pro black
we're low on money but i think its still a good xmas wishlist.

Answer
Even though its not alot those items are very expensive, if you guys are low on money only ask for one or two electronic items since they are so expensive. Maybe ask for some smaller things that are under 30.00 dollars. But that's just my opinion, just don't put your parents in a difficult position choosing between your Christmas gifts and their financial situation.

Valentines days gift?

Jonathan G

so I wanna give my girlfriend some eles beside bear flower and chocolate any idea *I do that for like 3 valentine days areldy *

Answer
Personalized

Give her a gift that shows that you really took the time and effort to think about the gift by choosing something personalized. A necklace with her name engraved on it, for example, or if you're her boyfriend, consider two dog tags with your name on one and her name on the other. You can design a T-shirt on a Web site (such as CafePress.com); she'll have fun wearing it and showing it off to friends. A stuffed animal with her name embroidered on the neck ribbon is a sweet twist on the same old Valentine's Day stuffed animal.
Experience

Instead of giving her a gift that she'll put on a shelf, what about giving her a gift certificate for an experience instead? She'll have fun and then have the memories as part of the gift. Depending on the personality of the girl, you can try a gift certificate for a manicure or pedicure for her and a friend, a weekend away at a nearby resort, a gift certificate for a formal dress for the next dance (with lunch as part of the shopping excursion) or tickets to a big concert. Consider her personality and the things that she likes to do before choosing one of these experiences for her.
Romantic

If you are a boyfriend looking for the perfect gift for your girlfriend, consider doing something romantic. Even if you don't have a lot of money to spend, you can arrange for a romantic evening for your girlfriend's Valentine's Day present, along with a gift from the heart. You can write a romantic message and burn the edges of the paper to make it look old; place it in a bottle for your girlfriend to find, like a real-life message in a bottle. Or create a Valentine's scavenger hunt for her to find a small piece of jewelry that you've bought for her. Use your imagination, and remember that teenage girls love something that shows that you put a little thought and effort into their gifts.

What is a good wedding present for the groom or bride - experience gift voucher day /evening in London?

Adam James

I need to buy an experience gift /present present as a wedding present for the bride and groom. What I want is something fun they can do together (and certainly not a toaster!). They live in London and are young at heart 30 somethings. It cannot be too girly like cupcake making or too blokey like quad bike racing I was thinking maybe dinner night out, cocktail lessons etc. Anyone had any good experiences (no pun intended) with a particular provider or experience idea.

Adam

Answer
You could give them Art Wedding Gift vouchers so when they receive their wedding photos from the photographer of their big day they can commission an oil portrait of it to remember it by. http://www.art-wedding-gifts.com

Joint birthday party?

Josee

My best friend and i are having a joint birthday party at the pool (money was an issue) and we invited our whole class (35 private school)... We have known each invitee for years now and arent sure how gifts will go. What should we expect? We dont expect the kind of gift given at a single party to each of us... We just want to know because we are kind of confused...

Answer
well you had both names right?...i would say a gift for each girl if they asked...because that is what you want and expect...

i would not worry about it i bet half will bring a gift for their best friend...

some will bring 2 gifts and others will bring nothing...

i would not open gifts at the party i would have 3 baskets...your gifts her gifts and gifts to share

JCPenney gift card question?

Lexi May

Hi everyone,
Ok so I got a late Christmas present today, a JCPenney gift card. I'm going to be using it online, and I was wondering if It would work with Sephora through JCPenney online?? If that makes sense. JCPenney sells Sephora online.
I hope this makes sense, Thanks!

Answer
You cannot use the JCPenney gift card through Sephora's website.

Sephora is a separate company... So, they don't take the cards unless it was a "Sephora inside JCP" card...

You could ask the clerks inside the Sephora at JCPenney if they would special order for you and you could pay in store... but otherwise, you have to use the card in store.

That is kind of stupid, if you ask me, since they accept the JCPenney charge card on Sephora's website...

Can I get my Sephora birthday gift at Jcpenney?

Emily

We don't have a Sephora anywhere close to where I live, but at Jcpenneys I saw a few items they had there. It was randomly on a small table and didn't have much quantity at all. They had perfume, eyelash curlers, Buxom mascara, etc... And there was no makeup counter. So my question is: Do you think I'd be able to get my free birthday gift there regardless? If so then where would I be able to pick it up? At a check out counter maybe? Please let me know what you think or your experience if you've ever done this. Thanks so much in advance!!!
P.S I know that you can get the birthday gift online at sephora but I would really like to avoid paying shipping if I can.

Answer
I've never heard of sephora products at jcpennys. I get my gifts at sephora and it's included with a purchase. I'm pretty sure you can just get it without a purchase t the counter, but Im about 80% sure you can only get the Gift at sephora.

Welcome gift etiquette?

Nicole

We noticed someone moving into the house next door over the weekend. With the cold and the snow, I set out and purchased some soups, warm drink mixes, and cookies, because these seemed like nice things to have while unpacking. I tried to include a variety of foods to account for food allergies and preferences. I have also been told that some people are afraid of home-cooked meals from strangers, so I chose foods from Whole Foods and a homemade candle.

Now, I have not seen anyone their, except for after 10:00. What guidelines should I follow? We are up late and would be happy to go over and make a quick delivery (two adults), but we do not know if it is appropriate to knock late at night or if the only light that is showing is an upstairs television. What if that is the only comfortable room right now? Can I leave a note to call me? I wanted to be polite, but this is feeling awkward now. Please advise.
Some of what I bought is perishable in order to provide convenience and comfort. It appears as though we only have one neighbor right now and he came home this morning in his work truck, but did not answer the door - he came home around 9:30 and we got there within a half an hour. I suppose he was resting or preparing to rest. He left in his work truck about an hour ago. Sadly, the things I bought cost me more than I could afford the first time and I had to drive a half an hour to buy them. The two of us could really only make an evening visit together and I think his hours will be very unpredictable.

Answer
You sound very sweet. I would just hold on to the gifts until you see someone over there during the day. There is no rush, let them settle in a little bit.

please help with selection a gift/flowers to 55th wedding anniversary in Melbourne, Australia?

K2010

a close family of mine going to have 55th wedding anniversory. Wow
I just found out
they live in Australia, I live in the USA
I looked up 1800 flowers, but they only have flower arrangements for an occasion

I am thinking $200 top including taxes, S&H
Do you think it is too late for Friday delivery, Friday, the 7th of September?

What about a gift hamper? They are often delivered same day or next day, and I think most would accept a credit card payment from the US. What are ideas for decorating, raffles/prizes, gift bags for pampering party?

mskash

I work at a salon and for mother's day we are planning a pampering party for some women of a battered women's shelter. I need ideas for decorating the salon and/or prizes, gift bags, etc...

Answer
I would fix up gift bags with beauty related products. Do you sell nail polish at the salon? Maybe put 1 in each giftbag, if you don't sell nailpolish, Sally's Hair Supply or Wal-greens has mini nailpolishes you can purchase for $1. You could goto a local department store that sells perfume and see if they have some samples of the perfume to give you, I'd tell them what it is for so they might give you several. Fingernail files, loofa's, etc. could be placed in the bags. Check your local Dollar Store, alot of times you can buy the loofa's, bath mits, smaller sizes of lotions , and other beauty products there. Do you know a local Avon agent or Mary Kay rep? If so maybe you can tell them what you are doing and offer to buy a few of their samples for the gift bags. I know the samples cost them and if you offer to buy a few they may be willing to let you purchase some. For another prize, you could also offer a free facial, haircut, or etc to your salon to be used at a later date.

I need to find some easy gifts that i can make. Please try to make your suggestions take less than 1 hour.

Answer
One great idea is to make jam, preserves, pickles, chutney or any other kind of treat you prefer and jar it. Decorate the jar with a beautiful Christmas ribbon and a personalized gift tag and it becomes a wonderful gift for someone special. If your family and friends enjoy wine you can make your own batch and put personalized labels on the bottles. Add a ribbon or bow for an added touch.

Gift baskets are another way to put together personalized gifts for friends and family. Is there a coffee lover amongst you? Place packets of gourmet grounds, cinnamon stir sticks, a beautiful mug, and coupons for free coffee at their favorite coffee shop in a basket and tie a beautiful bow on the handle. A chocoholic can be made very happy by putting packets of cocoa, chocolate kisses and homemade chocolate chip cookies in a basket just for them. Other basket ideas can include fruit baskets or beauty baskets filled with cosmetics or bathing items. You can even put together a sports basket for the athlete in your life. Put a sports magazine, a T-shirt from their favorite team and tickets for an upcoming game into the basket. Decorate it by tying ribbons in their favorite teams' colors onto the handle.

Another idea is to make your own Christmas cards by buying plain white stock cards and decorating them with paint, glitter or photos to personalize each one. You can also cut pieces from old Christmas cards to glue onto yours for a professional touch.

hope this helped!!! :D

I.T. Consultant looking for quick Christmas gifts for his clients.?

A C

I work as an IT consultant for a bunch small businesses.

As a way of saying "merry christmas" and "remember me when your computer breaks", I wanted to come up with a unique gift under $10 that I could give away to some of my clients. I was looking for something I could put my company name and website on.

Any creative ideas?

Answer
what about putting your company name and website on like a bunch of T-Shirts im not sure how much money that is but that's one thing you could do

you could also personalize mouse pads, picture frames, ornaments and stuffed animals (Girly i know), coffee cups, briefcases, posters, basically anything else you can find a office store

if wanted something different that you would have to put the name on yourself then you could also do cookies or something, they would eat those but that's always cheap just get a boxed mix or something and then use icing to write the name down you might have to write small or make the cookies big but i always thought that was christmas-y

another idea would be maybe fill up a stocking which you can write the company name and website down on and filled it up with some candy which you can just get like 10 bags of candy are rather cheap around the holidays i believe. that's also something you can use next year and the year after. they can hang the stockings up every year and you can be the guy who comes around and leaves them candy and gifts which to me is a cute idea.

im not sure what type of gift you want but to me the ornament would be the best because its really Christmas-y (sorry that im using that word alot) and its easier to put the company name on but the only problem is finding them cheap and having to buy alot of them. and its also not something for the office which im not sure if thats what you were looking for.

if you change your mind about having the company name and website on the gift you could always just ask them where they like the shop or something and get them each some type of 10-15 dollar gift card and they can go and buy themselves something nice.

well Happy Holidays

Help with parents' anniversary gift?

TXzebra

Ok so my parent's anniversary is coming up in like 4 days and I don't know what to get. I'm only 14 so I don't have a fortune to spend on some amazing expensive gift. What can I give them that seems sincere? Thank you!!!

Answer
I used to do this when I was little, but it would probably still be a well received gift. I'd make up a bunch of coupons for around the house stuff, like- this coupon is good for one night of washing dishes or weeks worth of laundry with no whining, or for making dinner or watching a sibling, or a family game night instead of going out with friends. If you have any cash at all, flowers are usually safe, or even a 10 dollar gift card somewhere for them to go on a date. They know you don't have lots of cash but they might like the idea of a date. I used to put the coupons in a vase or cup or staple them to a vase I made out of construction paper along with some paper flowers. If you have siblings or someone who might like to help you with a present you could always combine forces and buy them something, but if not- homemade and sentimental is usually a safe route to go.

Help? First Year Anniversary Gift.?

Q. First One Year Anniversary together gift.?
Okay, first off thank you all for taking the time to look at my question. Then possibly answer it. It means a lot.

Anyways;;
My One Year Anniversary is coming up. (Dating) I am wondering what would be the most reasonable gift to get my Boyfriend. I am at the age of 15. He is at the age of 16. I am so clueless on what to get him. I have about 3 months to figure it out. I wanted some open ideas so I have time to save up. I am trying to keep it within $200.00 to about $350.00.

My boyfriend is interested in:
Video games (sadly)
Xbox
Animals
Baseball
Football
Volleyball
Swimming
Skating
Snowboarding
Guitar (he's actually really good)
music
Drawing
Drums
Reading (Depending on what it is)
The Outdoors

My boyfriend and I are very close for our age. He's very smart, and I do not underestimate him. I know that he is getting me amazing. I wish to do the same.

Please give me some ideas about what I should get him. It is very much appreciated.

Thank you very much.
Websites and where to get it are also okay.

I've 4 recommendations :
1) Baseball Art, created by some of the best artists and available on tshirts, binders, caps, posters, art prints... You know truly unique gifts, which are not available in a retail store and which are 'customizable' - you may customize them with your boyfriends' initials...

I'm recommending a hand-picked selection of Baseball Art and Gifts, under sources below

2) A photo-sculpture of a favorite pic! : I've come across the product where you upload your favorite pic and your Photo is then Cut Out from durable acrylic to Create a One-of-a-Kind special gift / keepsake, a photo-sculpture! Thats not all, you may Choose 5 forms for it : a Sculpture with Stand, Magnet, Pin, Ornament, or Keychain; and you may choose 4 sizes ranging from small to colossal!

I'm providing a link to it under sources below

3) Dai Bando Custom Keds : Fully customizable high tops and low tops keds - you may add your boyfriends' initials, unlimited text, unlimited photos at no extra charge to the keds - they are great as a jeanswear or for sports

I'm providing a link to the Dai Bandos shop under sources below

4) You could visit the 'Create Your Own Now' store and create a personalized gift for your boyfriend, including a personalized skateboard with pics and text added by you.

Again, I'm providing a link to the shop under sources below

What Spiritual gifts do Mormons claim & experience in their faith?

t_a_m_i_l

There are biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit. What are the spiritual gifts of the Mormon religion?
drumbum, You have the best answer so far.

Others say they are same as bible, but that is not true.
The bible Holy Spirit is different than the Mormon spirits. So the gifts would be of a different spirit.

Answer
Not kidding you on this but:
A planet that they are gods on
Former un -mormon christians as slaves
Women must wait to be called from the grave by their husbands using their secret temple name. The they get to produce spirit babies

They claim to read the bible but if they did they would know that their BOM challenges so many important aspects of the Bible.Their God and Jesus are not the Christian God or Jesus

EDIT: Thanks :). http://www.lightplanet.com/mormons/basic/afterlife/degrees_glory_eom.htm
http://www.allaboutcults.org/what-do-mormons-believe.htm
this site might interest you....

EDIT: this might help too....I lost the site link sorry..but this is pretty in depth:
What Mormons will say they believe about salvation:

All are redeemed by the Savior's self-sacrifice, from the consequences of the fall.
Immortality comes as a free gift, by the grace of God alone, without works.
Jesus is our Savior.
Why Mormon salvation is not Christian salvation:
According to Mormonism, everyone and everything — all of creation — has been redeemed and therefore "saved".
His salvation gains, for all human beings, a physical resurrection only — not eternal life. Eternal life is not "salvation"; it is "exaltation".
If you ask a Mormon if he is saved (per Evangelical parlance), he will answer yes.
If you ask him if he believes you are saved, he will answer yes. This confuses Christians who do not understand that being "saved" and gaining "eternal life" are not the same thing in Mormon thinking.
It is further confused by the Mormon distinction between "immortality" (salvation to physical resurrection) and "eternal life" (exaltation to godhood).
The Mormons have a saying: "Salvation without exaltation is damnation."
Therefore, a Mormon can, with a straight face, tell you he believes you are "saved", while he also believes you are damned.
Christian answer:
We define salvation according to what we are saved from. We are saved from sin and from the wages of sin — death.
To be saved from sin is to be justified and sanctified. To be saved from death is to receive eternal life (Rom. 6. 22, 23).
Being saved, justified, sanctified and given eternal life by the grace of God are all things which are interconnected in the scriptures. There is no biblical basis for separating them (Rom. 5th).
Seeking exaltation is contrary to the spirit of Christ. We are rather to humble ourselves, recognize our sinfulness and call upon the Lord for mercy and forgiveness (James 4. 6-10).
Why the Mormon hope is not the Christian hope:
It is the hope of the male Mormon to progress to the point where he will be a god like God the Father and be ruling over his own planet. This is "exaltation", and depends upon the Mormon "Plan of Eternal Progression".
The hope of Mormon females depends upon their being married, in a temple ceremony, to a Mormon male who achieves exaltation.
Mormon women married to non-Mormons ("Gentiles") can arrange for a "temple sealing" (marriage by proxy) to a Mormon male after their death. This is to assure that in eternity they are considered to have been married to and produced their children from a Mormon husband so that they and their children can be exalted.
Mormon males expect to produce offspring in heaven with their mate(s), offspring who will subsequently be sent to populate their planet and achieve their own exaltation to godhood and so on and so on …
Christian answer:
The God of the Bible is the Creator and God of all the universe, of all worlds, not just our planet. He made man for Himself and in His image to be in communion with God and enter into the love of the Holy Trinity.
When man fell into sin and marred the image of God in his own being, the second person of the Trinity became incarnate — taking human nature to Himself.
He then did what He could not do in the form of God — He died to save us from sin and death, so that we could come back into communion with God and share the love of the Holy Trinity. Our hope is to be with God, not to be God (Gen. 1st-3rd; Phil. 2. 5-11).

EDIT:Mormen master...read your old docturne...plus most mormens admit to alot of this "outragous"stuff....Is this also why the missionaries about sprint from my door when I ask them this...Is this why your "prophet" claim "I don't know that we teach that" When it's IN your old documents...of course you wouldnt know about it though....Your church doesnt want you to read anything that might make you think about your faith Read the history of your church...If you would actually read a bible cover to cover and compare the BOM to it,then you would see hoe different they truely are..BTW I know J.Ws...you are different yet alot alike. There is no confusion...everything I got I got from YOUR Documents. Also your Jesus is different then a christian Jesus...He said He is the same yesterday, today and forever...he is unchanging...Do you think he ascended then was like"opps I need to go back...darn I knew I forgot something?" No.He is unchangeing.Your documents which are "inspired" by God have had so many changes to them it's not even funny....and no I'm not talking about minor changes...I'm talking 1440 MAJOR changes to your BOM alone, not to mention changes to the Pearl of Great Price, etc.

Note the following quote from the Mormon Journal of Discourses, vol. 1, page 123, made by the LDS Apostle Orson Hyde:

"Remember that God, our heavenly Father, was perhaps once a child, a mortal like we ourselves, and rose step by step in the scale of progress, in the school of advancement; has moved forward and overcome, until He has arrived at the point were He is."

Lorenzo Snow, late President of the Mormon church, made this statement in the second verse of his famous poem entitled, "Man's Destiny":

"As Abra'm, Isaac, Jacob, too, babes, then men--to gods they grew. As man now is, our God once was; As now God is, so man may be,-- Which doth unfold man's destiny. . ."

God has been God since forever, there were no God's before him,nor wil there be any after him...This came from your lituature...

under $10 for an unisex gift?

John D

Hi everyone,

Me and my gf are going to a Christmas party were we have to bring two gifts that are fit for a man or women and that is under $10.

It's a dirty santa (chinese gift exchange) type of deal where you pick from the pile and then the next person can either steal or pick from the pile.

The group of guest is quite varied (man in their late 30s, woman in the late 30s, few over 50s...)

Suggestions???? Alcohol is allowed but it seems cheesy.

Answer
Alcohol is DEFINITELY not cheezy. Trust me. I have been involved in many many of these kind of gift swapping parties. Wine is ALWAYS the hard to keep once chosen gift. I pride myself in finding inexpensive wines that are under priced. I would suggest 3 bottles of Forestville cab.
$3 a bottle at most chain grocery stores like Safeway. Your gift will be one of the sought after gifts.

Decent gifts for my family under $10?

UMYEAHH

Ok, I'm 14, so I don't make alot of money, so I was wondering, I have $10 put aside for each person in my family...
Brother-10..loves football
Brother 6-likes harry potter, star wars, superheroes
Brother 4-likes anything
Mom
Dad
I have no clue what to get them..so could anyone give me some ideas?

Answer
Maybe get your brother a winter hat w/ the logo of his favorite football team?

You can get your 6 year old brother an action figure having to do with any of those you just listed ^. IF not, maybe a puzzle or game related to Harry Potter, Star Wars and Super heroes?

For the 4 year old - It depends on what he likes. If you try a KB Toys (who are going out of business) I think you can find something cool for him under $10. Maybe a board game in his age group?

You can get your mom a Bath & Body Works set for under $10. They have xmas specials and little gift sets. If you don't want that, a gift card to one of her favorite stores?

You can get your Dad a book, a cd, a DVD or a gift card for coffee (if he drinks it), etc.

I think it's really nice that you are wanting to buy presents for your family at just 14 years old : ) - I think they will appreciate what you get them, no matter what. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

The rule on the gift is that your basis is the same as the basis of the person who bought it for you.

Am I allowed to use Visa Gift Cards on eBay?

freddyglss

I found this rare, German bluray steelbook edition of Rob Zombie's Halloween and it's region free and I want it!! But my mom doesn't like using her credit cards for sites like that, and my friend told me about Visa Gift Cards, so I'm wondering, can you use Visa Gift Cards on eBay or is it only for stores? Please and thank you!

Answer
yes you can use gift card on ebay/paypal
but you are going first have to register the gift card
else paypal will rejected it
read the following it will help explain the problem

Gift Card Question - Using Visa or American Express Gift Cards on PayPal
Have you tried using a prepaid gift card like Visa or American Express gift card on PayPal and it was rejected? The problem may be that PayPal was unable to verify your address with the card issuer.
One of the most popular gift card questions online is whether one can link prepaid gift cards like the Visa gift card to a PayPal account. The short answer is Yes and No. Now, the long answer: Yes, it is possible to link a prepaid gift card like the Visa or American Express gift card to a PayPal account but for this to happen, you need to pray and hope that PayPal does not require you to go through their Expanded Use verification process. To better understand why, you first need to be familiar with the process for linking a credit card to a PayPal account. When you link your credit card to a PayPal account, PayPal will attempt to confirm your address with your credit card company. If the credit card company is not able to confirm your address, then you may be asked by PayPal to complete their Expanded Use enrollment process in order to activate your credit card.

Expanded Use verification means PayPal will charge your credit card a small about. Next to the charge will be a unique, randomly generated 4-digit Expanded Use code. If you have online access to your credit card activity, the charge and code will appear on your card activity in approximately 2-4 business days. If you do not have online access, you must wait until you receive your statement in the mail to get the 4-digit code. If you are adding a debit card to your PayPal account, your 4-digit Expanded Use code will be printed on your bank statement next to the charge. Once you get the 4-digit code, you have to return to your PayPal account to enter the code per instructions from PayPal. Once completed, and PayPal confirms that you entered the correct code, you will now be able to use the card for PayPal transactions. The Expanded Use verification process is designed to protect you against fraud by verifying that the person attempting to use the credit card actually owns the card. PayPal will later credit the amount charged to your card to your PayPal account.

Now, here lies the problem with using prepaid or bank issued gift cards. If PayPal is unable to verify your address with the gift card issuer, then you may be asked to go through the Expanded Use process. Since most prepaid gift cards do not issue monthly statements or provide online access to gift card transactions, it will be impossible to complete the Expanded Use process. Also, it is not a good idea to call the credit card or gift card issuer to get the 4-digit Expanded Use code. If PayPal receives a complaint from your card issuer that you called them to get the 4-digit code, PayPal will close your account permanently.

So, the first step to attempting to use a prepaid gift card on PayPal is to make sure the name and address (billing address) on your PayPal account matches the name and address on file with the gift card issuer. If you just purchased your prepaid gift card, call the card issuer and add your name and address to the card. If your information (name and address) has changed since you registered your card, call the card issuer or go online and update your information before you use the card on PayPal. Once this is done, you just have to hope that PayPal is able to successfully verify your address with the gift card issuer. If they are able to verify your address, then you are all set. If they cannot verify your address with the card issuer, then you probably will not be able to use that gift card on PayPal.

Ideas for my mom's 40th Birthday gift?

Christy

Tomorrow is my mom's 40th Birthday. (I know this is very last minute.) I haven't a clue as to what to get her. I was planning on going over to her house and making dinner and watching a movie we had rented: "Because I Said So" starring Mandy Moore.

This is what I have so far. I still plan on going to my mom's and watching the movie we rented and I plan on baking her a cake tonight and bringing it with me. I am going to a local spa after work this afternoon and buying her a gift certificate for a massage. She is not into 'girly' stuff so I'm getting only a massage, no facial or anything. Is this enough for the Big 4-0 or should I do more?

Any ideas from ladies who have already hit this milestone? She isn't upset about turning 40 but it is still a milestone and I want to make sure she has a special birthday.

Answer
I'm not a lady, but my mom has already had her fortieth birthday. If she's anything like my mom, spending time with her and giving her the gifts you are giving her like the food, cake and massage will be more than enough. She probably wants to spend time with you, and making memories is the best gift of all. I would stick with what you've got planned. God bless and have a great time.
