5th Anniversary gifts?

hmmmm

I saw once there was list of what you're suppose to give as gifts for each anniversary (paper, crystal, gold, emeralds, etc).
Does anyone know what the gift is for the 5th anniversary?

Answer
Wood is the traditional gift. If you are good with woodworking, you can make something. Otherwise, furniture and things like that would be great.

Silverware is the modern gift, but I'm not sure exactly how exciting that one is. Since this is your 5th anniversary, I'd guess that you received plenty as wedding gifts anyway.

If you want to get jewelry, sapphires or turquoise are the recommended gifts. Getting these depends on your budget, but I think turquiose is the much cheaper option of the two.

As for flowers, you are supposed to buy daisies for the 5th anniversary. Those probably won't be too hard to find.

Hope this helps. I found the list and these ideas, plus more here: www.happiestanniversaries.com . They seem to have a pretty good collection of ideas.

whats a great summer gift for around $5?

I need to buy 40 gifts for an employee party at $5 each. Any good ideas?

Answer
Go to a dollar store and purchase (40 )$ 1.00 colorful umbrellas and tie around each umbrella with brightly neon ribbons or at a fabric store purchase colorful Taffeta and make strips to add around hats, unbrellas and lotions. Add 1-2 lotto tickets to each gift item with the dangling ribbons ,for a chance to help brighten those rainy summer days ahead.

If the dollar store doesn't have that many umbrellas, purchase what they do have the rest can be a straw beach hats, visors with tickets placed in the band part of it, or a pairs of sunglasses with tickets attached, Sun Lotion wrapped in taffeta or dangling ribbon with tickets.

Anyway you choose you can mix the gifts which would be fun , let's employees have a final chance if so desired to make a deal with another employee and exchange gift item with unused tickets for what they hope to be a better deal ,which also adds to the fun!
