So I've been friends with this guy for a while, and we went on a couple dates recently. My birthday was about a month ago, and he took me out to dinner to this really cute Thai restaurant and we spent the rest of the night talking (we're really close now that we've basically poured our hearts out to each other).
It's his birthday this saturday and I want to do something nice for him. We're not officially dating, so I don't want to be extravagant about it. Also, I don't want to spend too much on him (he's not my boyfriend yet!), but he's got expensive taste.
I was thinking taking him out to dinner and maybe a comedy club or trying to find tix to a local concert of some band he may like...I don't know. Anyone have any suggestions? He has a lot of s**t going on in his life right now and I want to give him a good birthday and a night he's really enjoy (please, guys, don't suggest anything dirty).

If I am going through a lot of poop in my life, I would rather receive a present which is well-thought through rather than just plain expensive.
I would suggest a box of chocolate properly wrapped with a birthday card that has a lot of meaning notes on it [show that you care]. Tell him what you think, he will understand

What is a good gift for a girl on her birthday. We just started dating and her birthday is next week. I need ideas fast from girls who like things. She likes about anything except for like skater stuff. Mostly abercrombie, hollister, aeropostale etc. Please help!!!

maybe a necklace, but if you just started then you might not want to waste money on that girl just yet.
but don't get her clothes because you don't know what size she is and girls can get offended by things easily. so a giftcard to a place she likes.
