If I want to deliver a gift basket I made, what process do I have to go through to mail it to someone about an hour away from me?

You need to find a box large enough to fit the basket inside, put newspaper or other packing material around the basket so that the contents do not shift during shipping, seal the box, label the box with the address of the person receiving the box, put your return address on it, and take it to the post office for shipping. If the basket will fit in one the post office's flat rate boxes the shipping will be cheaper.

i'm planning a cute gift for my bf and was wondering if i could get heart shaped post its at any office supply store anytime of the year, or would i have to order them?

you should be able to get them any time of year. just go into your office supply store and go to the post it section and they should be there
