A close friend of mine has just become ill. She will be returning to work relatively soon, but while she is still at home, what are soom good gifts that I could send to her. Any ideas?

I can say from experience that receiving a gift from my co-workers while in the hospital really brightened my day. I am sure your friend would greatly appreciate a gift from you also. Depending on your budget, there are several ideas I can suggest.
Chocolate and flowers are great ideas. You could send her a basket of her favorite candy bars and other goodies like her favorite scented candle and a candle warmer. You could add a coffee mug and specialty coffee, hot cocoa, soups and crackers, or teas to make the basket extra special. You can check out www.hallmark.com
You may even want to send a gift card as part of the get well basket or as a separate gift. My parents have been married for close to 60 years and coming up with a gift idea that they haven't been given, or could easily buy themselves is next to impossible!!! They've LOVED stuff the kids have made in the past for mother's day etc....but we are IDEA_LESS!!! HELP!!
