My step-son is graduating from 8th grade this week...how exciting!! I want to get him a good, memorable, meaningful gift....any suggestions? Also, my really good friends daughter is graduating from 8th grade as well.....I need a good gift for her too! Thanks!

for the boy, a watch or a nice wallet, or an I-Tunes gift card or whatever they do (if he has an Ipod or MP3 player--this would also work for the girl)

My grandma said when you graduate 8th you get gifts. Is that just my family tradition or is it worldwide? I always thought graduating 8th grade wasn't super important. But..... Im not going to refuse gifts (:
feel bad that i don't care about graduation. I feel horrible cuz my parents are going to spend their time and money on something I don't even want to do ( they are forcing me to go) Help? I have a knot in my stomach

Our graduation is a big deal where I like, like we wear prom dresses to it and then we probably get a few gifts from our parents
